TRICONEX 4211 also known as SRXM is the remote side Remote Extender Module built on triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This SRXM fiber safety module is installed in remote I/O rack, paired with main rack 4210 module, using multi-mode fiber optic cables to realize high-speed Tricon bus communication between main controller rack and remote I/O rack. The Tricon remote extender module adopts ST fiber connectors, with max transmission distance up to 2 kilometers, and realizes complete electrical isolation between main rack and remote rack to eliminate ground loop interference and electromagnetic noise from field wiring. It processes TMR bus data and transmits field I/O signals between remote I/O modules and main Tricon controller. Continuous internal diagnostics monitor fiber link quality, optical signal strength and module hardware health, and report fault alarms to Tricon engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module health, active status and fiber link state for fast field troubleshooting. It adopts 2-out-of-3 voting logic to avoid single point of failure and fully meets SIL3 safety integrity level requirements. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 4211 SRXM module supports distributed SIS layout for ESD emergency shutdown and fire and gas safety monitoring systems.
