TRICONEX 3351 also known as AI3351 is a 32-channel commoned analog input module built on triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Trident safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety I/O module collects 4-20mA analog current signals from field pressure, temperature and flow transmitters, and converts analog signals into digital data and transmits to the Tricon main controller. The Tricon analog input module supports 2~22mA signal range, with 12-bit resolution and total channel scan time less than 1ms for high-speed signal acquisition. Each channel is equipped with isolation design to suppress ground loop noise and electrical interference from field instruments. Continuous built-in channel diagnostics can detect open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and upload fault alarms to the Tricon engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators including PASS, FAULT and FIELD PWR display module health status and channel signal state for fast on-site troubleshooting. It adopts 2-out-of-3 voting logic to eliminate single point of failure and fully meets SIL3 safety integrity level requirements. It can be installed in standard Trident rack and cooperates with Trident controller and other I/O modules. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 3351 analog input module is used for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas monitoring and other safety-critical control systems.
